Selina Katheryn Watson, Beloved Lawrenceburg Nutrition Specialist and Devoted Grandmother, Dies at 62


Selina Katheryn Watson, age 62, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg. Her passing has left a deep void in the hearts of her family, friends, church family, and the many people whose lives she touched through her work and service.

A lifelong resident of Lawrenceburg, Selina was a self-employed nutrition specialist who dedicated her life to helping others live healthier, fuller lives. Known for her compassionate spirit and willingness to serve, she was deeply involved in her church and community. Selina was a faithful member of Knob Creek Community Church, where her love for God and people was evident in all she did.

Family was at the center of Selinaโ€™s life. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother who especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren. Whether gathered with family, supporting her church, or enjoying the outdoors she loved so much, Selina found joy in lifeโ€™s simple blessings and shared that joy freely with others.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Dean Sisson Matney, and her brother, Dewayne Matney.

Selina is survived by her husband of 43 years, Roger Watson of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; two sons, Colton Watson (Tiffany) of Lawrenceburg and Josh Watson (Kayla) of Summertown, Tennessee; and her beloved grandchildren, Sierra Grace Watson, Lincoln Wyatt Watson, and Grady Frank Watson, with another grandchild on the way. She also leaves behind extended family, friends, and a church community who will forever treasure her memory.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, located at 231 N. Military Avenue in Lawrenceburg. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Neal Funeral Home. A graveside service and interment will be held at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026, with Danny Huckaba and Colton Watson officiating.
