With heavy hearts, we mourn the unexpected passing of Heather Nicole Conley of West Salem, Ohio, who left us on January 17, 2026, at the age of 43, surrounded by her loving family. Heather’s sudden departure leaves a profound void in the lives of her husband, children, family, friends, students, and the countless people she touched through her life, faith, and work.
Born on July 3, 1982, in Ashland to Duane and Janet Fulk, Heather was a remarkable woman whose dedication, intelligence, and compassion left an indelible mark on everyone she met. She graduated from Ashland High School and pursued higher education at Ashland University, earning a B.S. in Mathematics and Education, followed by a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Her love of learning and teaching shaped her career as a high school mathematics teacher, inspiring countless students at OHDELA, Cuyahoga Falls, ECOT, Ohio Virtual Academy, and Mapleton High School. Heather had a passion for education, not just in the classroom, but in her daily example of diligence, problem-solving, and service.
Heather’s life extended far beyond academics. She was an active member of Grace Church in Wooster, volunteering with Grace Youth and participating in her Grace Group, embodying her godly love in service to others. She treasured family life, taking joy in supporting her children — Jacob, Kate, Justin, and Quinn — in every activity, from sports and music to drama and school events. She volunteered tirelessly for band boosters, sports boosters, football moms, and the Prom Committee, always putting the needs of her family and community before her own. Heather’s love, energy, and dedication were felt deeply by all who knew her.
Heather and Quinn shared a rare and remarkable love, one that was evident to everyone around them. Her devotion to her husband and children was matched only by her warmth, generosity, and joy in life. She also loved reading, traveling, and was a published writer, leaving a legacy of creativity and thoughtfulness.
Heather is survived by her husband Quinn; her children; her parents, Duane and Janet Fulk; her brother Bryan Fulk; father-in-law Dale Conley; aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and uncle Doyle Fulk. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
